Document extension is NOT automatic — apply to PMLP (permits issued for 2 years, processing up to 3 months). To apply you need a copy of your travel document and an application. Processing can take up to 3 months — apply for extension IN ADVANCE, before your current visa or permit expires, otherwise you face a gap in residence rights and benefits. Adult citizens of Russia or Belarus additionally complete a questionnaire for the competent state authorities. For the first 3 calendar months social services are provided without a means assessment.
