Varta monitor — about our crawler

Varta is a service that helps Ukrainians abroad keep track of changes to residence rules. Our crawler visits official government pages once a day and compares them with the previous version, so that people are notified when the rules change.

How it behaves

  • Reads public pages only; never submits forms or accesses accounts.
  • One visit per page per day, with delays between requests.
  • Respects robots.txt.
  • Does not republish pages: we quote a short excerpt of the change and always link to the original source.
