Expedited procedure without a full asylum process, welfare and housing via the Flüchtlingshilfe. Note: new rules for newly arriving men of conscription age since 21.07.2026. Liechtenstein is small; many services run via neighbouring Switzerland.
Liechtenstein is not in the EU (EEA/Schengen); the national Schutzstatus S scheme applies: status is granted in an expedited procedure without a full asylum process, for 1 year with annual renewal. The government has committed not to revoke the ordinance before March 2028. NOTE: since 21.07.2026, newly arriving men without permission from the Ukrainian authorities to leave due to military obligations are generally NOT granted protection (existing statuses are unaffected). Liechtenstein is small; many services (including consular services for Ukrainians) run via neighbouring Switzerland.
