Canada: CUAET no longer accepts new applications, but work/family pathways and provincial programmes exist.
CUAET is closed to new applications. 31 March 2027 is the application deadline for the special open work permit extension, not the expiry date of your status. Check your own IRCC document. A one-time extension of up to three years is available to eligible Ukrainians and family members who arrived by 31 December 2024. You need valid temporary status, a qualifying open work permit under a Ukrainian public policy, and to be in Canada when applying and when IRCC decides. IRCC distinguishes arrivals by 31 March 2024 from arrivals between 1 April and 31 December 2024. TRP holders use the regular process.
