The Finnish Immigration Service may issue a negative decision on your application for temporary protection if, for example: there aren't sufficient grounds for granting a residence permit on the basis of temporary protection in your case, or you are considered to present a danger to public order or security, or you hold, or have held, a valid residence permit issued on the basis of temporary protection in another EU Member State, or you can be reasonably suspected of having committed a crime against peace, a war crime or a crime against humanity a serious non-political crime before entering Finland an act which violates the aims and principles of the United Nations or you have left Ukraine without authorisation and you have applied for temporary protection on 5 August 2026 or later. You can prove that you are authorised to leave Ukraine by showing the stamp you received on your passport when you left Ukraine. If you, for some reason, did not receive a stamp on your passport, you can prove that you are authorised to leave Ukraine by presenting an official document which confirms that you have complied with your military obligations or are exempt from them. The document may be in the Reserv+ application, for example.
